Mild steel laser cutting
Upload a DXF and get a fixed price for mild steel parts in seconds. We cut S275 and hot-rolled sheet and plate from 2 mm up to 30 mm on a 12 kW HSG fibre laser, priced from your actual geometry: cut length, pierces and how many parts fit on a sheet.
What we cut
- Thicknesses: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 30 mm.
- Thinner sheet is cut with nitrogen for a clean, oxide-free edge ready for paint or powder coat; thicker plate is cut with oxygen.
- Standard sheet 3000 x 1500 mm. Parts are nested tightly on the sheet with a 10 mm gap to keep material cost down.
- Brackets, base plates, gussets, flanges, signage, chassis and machine parts, from one-offs to production runs.
How pricing works
Your price is worked out from the drawing itself: the length of every cut, the number of pierces, the cutting speed for that material and thickness, and how many parts fit on a sheet. Delivery is priced at the same time, by courier or pallet depending on weight and size, so the total you see is the total you pay.
Questions
What is the thickest mild steel you can laser cut?
Up to 30 mm. Every thickness on the quote form is cut on the laser's own saved cutting settings for that thickness.
Do you need a DXF?
Yes, for an instant price. If you only have a sketch, PDF or STEP file, use the drawing request and we will quote by email.
Is the price fixed?
Yes. The price on your quote is what you pay, including delivery. Nothing is added after checkout.
